Faux & LED Neon Signs are distinctive and eye-catching signage that combines dimensional letters with a soft, elegant glow. These signs create a captivating effect by pushing acrylic material through the face of an aluminum sheet.
Faux neon signs replicate the classic neon effect using a similar style of push through acrylic, and LED lights. Unlike traditional glass-formed neon signs, faux neon offers versatility and energy efficiency.
Faux Neon Signs
Similar to push throughs is faux neon or fake neon signs. It is built with the same push through method, however, it works with a routed clear acrylic, either in a shape, a letter contour, or even as a letter itself, in a thinner stroke to match the look of neon tubing. This display gives a distinct look and effect, but without the higher energy costs and the instability of neon/mercury gasses and glass tubing. To get the bright color effect, vinyl can be applied to be back of the acrylic, so the LED glow shows through.

Offerings
3″, 5″ Aluminum Returns
Available in a variety colors and have the option of painting. Custom coil is available at most depths for large quantity orders.
Fronts for Faux & LED Neon Signs
Faces for push through and faux neon use painted .063 aluminum or .090 aluminum, in conjunction with 1/4″ and up to 1″ acrylic pushed through routed cutouts.
3M Vinyl Or Digital Print
We utilize 3M 3630 vinyl for it’s high quality and consistency, available in several colors. We also can provide high quality 3M digital prints.
Backplates
Backplates are routed and contoured based on electronic file to ensure accuracy and integrity with mounting pattern, and can be custom painted. All jobs come with 1/4″ 20 zinc coated threaded rod and rivnuts.
Raceways and Wireways
We can produce high quality custom painted raceways, extruded raceways, and wireways of various sizes, that also works well with backplates and logos.
1/2”-2” Standoffs
Standoffs are usually between 1/2 – 2″, but can be customized, as well as can be painted to match façade and provide a finished product housing for threaded rods.
LEDs and Lighting
We utilize high quality Principle LEDs, available in different colors, as well as RGBw’s, allowing for a unique and customizable look to your channel letter signs.
UL & CUL Approved
We are U.L. 48 Certified. All signage and material are built to this set of regulations. In certain areas local and NEC codes may supersede U.L. and we will need to be notified of those differences.
Fonts
Because the letters are routed from a single piece of aluminum, they can be be produced smaller then standard channel letters. These letters do well from small to medium sizes.
Customizations
DSW can color match and paint with most major brands including Matthews, Pantone, Benjamin Moore, and Sherwin Williams, as well as build other sign customizations.
